Principal's Message

Dear Kennedy Elementary Families,

Welcome to the 2026–2027 school year!

It is my honor and privilege to welcome you to Kennedy Elementary School. Whether you are returning to our campus or joining the Kennedy family for the first time, we are excited to partner with you for a year filled with learning, growth, and success.

At Kennedy Elementary, we believe every child can achieve at high levels when provided with excellent instruction, strong relationships, and a safe, supportive learning environment. As a Houston ISD New Education System (NES) campus, we are committed to providing rigorous, engaging instruction while fostering curiosity, confidence, and a love of learning in every student.

Our dedicated leadership team—including Assistant Principals Dr. Erin Green and Sergio Zavala, Counselors Charlene Marsh and Roberta Escobedo, and our outstanding teachers and staff—is committed to ensuring every student feels valued, challenged, and supported each day.

Family partnerships are essential to student success. We encourage you to stay connected through ParentSquare, attend school events, volunteer when possible, and communicate regularly with your child's teacher. Together, we can create the strong home-school partnership that helps every child thrive.

This handbook has been developed to provide important information about our school procedures, expectations, and resources. Please review it carefully and keep it as a reference throughout the school year.
