Principal's Message

Dear Kennedy Elementary Families,

Welcome to a brand-new school year! My name is Maria Lidia Garza, and I’m honored to serve as your principal. I’m excited to welcome back our returning students and extend a warm greeting to the new families joining our Kennedy community.

This year brings fresh goals, new challenges, and countless opportunities for growth. Our team is committed to creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where every child can thrive. Alongside me, Assistant Principals Dennise Thomas and Roberto Leyva, and Counselor Charlene Marsh, will be working closely with students, families, and staff to support learning and well-being.

We’ve set high expectations and are focused on building a strong academic foundation while also encouraging creativity, critical thinking, and a love for learning. In addition to our academic focus, we’ll offer a variety of extracurricular activities and family events to enrich the student experience.

Family involvement plays a key role in student success. We invite you to stay connected—whether by attending events, volunteering, or communicating regularly with teachers and staff. Your support truly makes a difference.
